Jasper's thyroid test results came back NORMAL! She is eating normally and putting back on the weight she'd lost. We're all very happy with her progress. Laurie sent us a letter responding to our plea for help for "Jasper" which we recently posted on the website. She said that "Jasper" reminds her of her "Thor" that went to heaven some time back. Enclosed was a check for almost all of "Jasper's" vet expenses! Laurie & Ricky live in Texas City and we thank them IMMENSELY for giving back to the furry residents of their community! The world need more people like you two!!!

Update on "Jasper"-she had her surgery on Tuesday, June 6th. Dr. Todd McCoy (our own "God"), of NASA Pet Hospital performed the delicate surgery and was walking 3 feet off the ground when he finished. He said that "Jasper's" surgery was a cake walk. Her right thyroid gland was three times the size of normal! The good news is that the left one was perfectly fine! That means she will not have to be on calcium meds unless/until the other gland fails.
