Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and having your pet spayed or neutered!

To help the general public with lower cost spay/neuter and various other veterinarian services, Whiskerville utilizes the services of Long Drive Dog & Cat Hospital. We started with them on February 1, 2005, and are very happy with Dr. John Shelby's clinic.

Whiskerville no longer uses the services of Houston Humane for three reasons:

1. Their administration (specifically Sherry Ferguson, Executive Director and Edward Perez, Shelter Director) could not possibly be less caring or compassionate about animals (or people, for that matter).

2. They were exposed as illegal family pet murderers by Marvin Zindler on KTRK Channel 13 on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, and LIED about it.

3. Just look at their 85% murder rate as noted on our Local Statistics page. Houston Humane is not a safe place for an animal to go!
